We carried out repair works to an ageing stone slate roof on a traditional Huddersfield property. Several slates had slipped over time and existing leadwork around the chimney stack had begun to deteriorate.
Damaged slates were replaced and new lead flashing was installed to improve weather protection around the abutments. The roof was left watertight with the original character of the property maintained.
This project involved stripping the existing roof covering back to the rafters before installing a new breathable membrane and treated battens.
A new tiled roof covering was fitted along with upgraded leadwork around the chimney stack and roof window installation. The finished roof now provides improved weather resistance and a clean modern finish.
